Decapeptyl Description
Decapeptyl is a powder and solvent for suspension for intramuscular injection
Decapeptyl contains the active ingredient triptorelin acetate, which is a synthetic version of natural gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH). GnRH regulates the release of two hormones that are involved in the development of follicles and release of eggs from the ovaries: follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinising hormone (LH).

In other countries, Decapeptyl is called Diphereline.
 
What's Included
Decapeptyl Depot comes in a vial containing sterile lyophilized microspheres. When mixed with supplied dilutant, it becomes a suspension which is administered as an intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.

Decapeptyl belongs to the class of 'anti-neoplastic agents', primarily used to treat prostate cancer in men, endometriosis in women and precocious puberty (early puberty) in children
Decapeptyl Side Effects:
Use Decapeptyl as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the dosage depending on your medical condition. The common side effects of Decapeptyl include hot flashes, decreased sexual interest, breast tenderness or swelling, dizziness, headache, flu symptoms, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, upset stomach and swelling in legs. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.
