Meriofert Description
Meriofert is an injection
Meriofert is a highly purified human menopausal gonadotrophin (HMG), belonging to a group of medicines called gonadotrophins. Each freeze-dried vial contains 75 IU human follicle stimulating hormone activity (FSH) and 75 IU human luteinising hormone activity (LH). FSH helps stimulate egg production, and luteinizing hormone (LH), helps the eggs mature and release. Meriofert helps stimulate eggs to mature in women whose ovaries are basically healthy but are unable to develop eggs. It is not used for women who suffer from ovarian failure.

Meriofert - what's included
Meriofert is sold as packaged by the manufacturer in single vials of 75iu or 150iu
Vials of solvent (Sodium Chloride) are also included, but the manufacturer does not include needles or syringes for injection. These are available at any US pharmacy.
The Difference Between Menopur and Meriofert
Meriofert, also known as Merional, is manufactured by IBSA in Italy
It is a generic medication and offered for sale since there is a widespread shortage of Menopur. The drug is sold in individual vials.
